hydraulic transmission jack is a device used to lift heavy objects, usually cars or trucks. The system works by using oil to grease the internal mechanism. If you’ve just bought a new hydraulic transmission jack, it won’t have any oil in it and you’ll have to fill it. Jacks also require oil refills every few years. The following article will describe how to fill a hydraulic transmission jack:

How to fill hydraulic transmission jack?

RAISING THE HYDRAULIC TRANSMISSION JACK

1. Before use, ensure the transmission weight and size do not exceed the capacity of the hydraulic transmission jack.
2. Ensure the vehicle from which the gearbox is to be removed is correctly positioned.
3. Check handbrake applied and raised to allow the hydraulic transmission jack to be positioned correctly.
4. Ensure there are no other persons around or under the vehicle.
5. Ensure saddle is in its lowest position and use handle to transport and centrally position hydraulic transmission jack beneath vehicle transmission.
6. Assemble the handle, ensure to align with slots.
7. Close the release valve by turning it clockwise until it is firmly closed.
8. Pump handle to lift until saddle contacts load. Continue to pump the hydraulic transmission jack handle to lift the vehicle to the desired height.
9. After lifting, support the load appropriately before removing the transmission.

hydraulic transmission jackTRANSPORTING THE LOAD
1. Ensure the hydraulic transmission jack saddle is fully lowered and load is secure before attempting to lift, lower, or transport transmission.
2. Transport the load over level and solid ground, preferably concrete, and ensure the floor is swept clean before transporting the load.
3. Be diligent in continually monitoring the load in transit. Keep all other persons at a safe distance.
4. DO NOT use on asphalt, or any soft surface as hydraulic transmission jack may sink or tip, causing damage to the transmission or personal or injury/harm may result.
5. WARNING: If hydraulic transmission jack tips or leans STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING. MOVE QUICKLY TO A SAFE DISTANCE. DO NOT TRY TO HOLD OR STEADY JACK to prevent personal injury and/or property damage.

LOWERING THE JACK
1. Support the load with appropriate means before removing the transmission. Check to make sure the transmission stable on the hydraulic transmission jack saddle and load is fixed in place before attempting to lift lower, or transport.
2. Grasp the handle firmly with both hands. Securely hold on to the hydraulic transmission jack handle so your hands do not slip and ensure the release valve does not rapidly lower.
3. Carefully open the Release Valve by slowly turning the handle counterclockwise. (Do not allow bystanders around the hydraulic transmission jack or under the load when lowering the hydraulic transmission jack.
4. Lower saddle to the lowest minimum height before attempting to transport load.

RE-INSTALLING A GEARBOX
1.  Ensure the hydraulic transmission jack saddle is fully lowered and load is secure before attempting to lift or transport transmission.
2. Transport the load over level and solid ground, preferably concrete, and ensure the floor is swept clean before transporting the load.
3. Be diligent in continually monitoring the load in transit. Keep all other persons at a safe distance.
4. DO NOT use on asphalt, or any soft surface as hydraulic transmission jack may sink or tip, causing damage to the transmission of personal or injury/harm may result.
5. If hydraulic transmission jack tips or leans STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING. MOVE QUICKLY TO A SAFE DISTANCE. DO NOT TRY TO HOLD OR STEADY JACK.
6. Raise load to the desired height.
7. WARNING: Use caution when re-installing transmission load can shift causing personal injury and/or property damage

TO ADD JACK OIL
1.Position the hydraulic transmission jack on level ground and lower the saddle in the upright position. Open release valve by turning handle counter-clockwise.
2. Locate and remove the oil filler plug.
3. Fill the oil case until the oil level is just beneath the lower rim of the oil fill hole.
4. Replace the oil plug.
5. Perform the Air Purge Procedure.

TO REPLACE JACK OIL
1.Position the hydraulic transmission jack on level ground and lower the saddle in the upright position.
2. Open release valve by turning handle counter-clockwise.
3.Lay the hydraulic transmission jack on its side and drain the fluid into a suitable container.
Note: Dispose of hydraulic fluid in accordance with local regulations.
4. Position the hydraulic transmission jack on level ground.
5. Fill the oil case until the oil level is just beneath the lower rim of the oil fill hole. KEEP DIRT AND OTHER MATERIAL CLEAR WHEN POURING.
6. Replace bleeder screw.
7. Perform the Air Purge Procedure.

  • [Industry News] Working principle of hydraulic jack

In principle, the hydraulic jack is based on Pascal principle, that is, the pressure of the liquid is the same everywhere, so in a balanced system, the pressure exerted on the smaller piston is relatively small, and the pressure exerted on the larger piston is also relatively large, which can keep t
